Seven additional currencies posted upswings Thursday. Bitcoin Cash BCHUSD increased 4.90% to $148.34, and Ethereum ETHUSD rose 3.78% to $1,912.33.
Bitcoin BTCUSD increased 3.59% to $24,737.03, while Dogecoin DOGEUSD rose 3.23% to 7 cents. Litecoin LTCUSD increased 1.28% to $62.96.
Cardano ADAUSD and Ripple XRPUSD rounded out the increases for Thursday, with gains of 1.28% to 54 cents and 1.01% to 38 cents, respectively.
On the other hand, Polkadot DOTUSD posted the only drop, falling 1.01% to $9.49.
In crypto-related company news, shares of Coinbase Global Inc. COIN climbed 0.95% to $95.03, while MicroStrategy Inc. MSTR rose 5.77% to $355.18. Riot Blockchain Inc. RIOT shares jumped 13.50% to $10.34, and shares of Marathon Digital Holdings Inc. MARA surged 11.61% to $18.26.
Overstock.com Inc. OSTK climbed 5.63% to $31.87, while Block Inc. SQ rose 2.93% to $91.45 and Tesla Inc. TSLA slid 0.28% to $880.59.
PayPal Holdings Inc. PYPL rose 2.44% to $101.32, and Ebang International Holdings Inc. Cl A EBON shares rose 8.16% to 60 cents. NVIDIA Corp. NVDA rallied 2.17% to $184.90, and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. AMD increased 2.44% to $101.37.
In the fund space, the Bitwise Crypto Industry Innovators ETF BITQ, which is focused on pure-play crypto companies, rallied 6.64% to $10.12. Blockchain-focused Amplify Transformational Data Sharing ETF BLOK increased 4.22% to $25.09. Grayscale Bitcoin Trust GBTC, which tracks the Bitcoin market price, rose 4.48% to $15.63.
